Swedish Fit® finds its origins in an ancient concept invented by Per Henrik Ling (1776-1839) who wanted exercice to be as fun as efficient.
1978
Johan Holmsäter, a physical education teacher, created Friskis & Svettis in collaboration with doctors and physiotherapists. The activity promoted a new method of combining gymnastics, health and well-being.
1993
Claude et Lena Coury, gratued at Liv&Lust and Friskis & Svettis training school well known in Scandinavia then founded la Gym Suédoise® in Paris.
2018
Swedish Fit® offers more than 500 classes a week to thousands of happy participants. We are now all over Paris and in several other cities around France as well as in London, Geneva and Waterloo.
